Privacy notice
Last updated: 24 October 2026
This notice explains how Mobile Car Valet Service ("we", "us") uses personal information when you book a valet, ask a question or use this website.
Who we are
Mobile Car Valet Service is a mobile car valeting business run by a sole trader and based in Hull, East Yorkshire. We are the controller of the information you give us. Contact: mobilecarvaleting2@gmail.com or 07440 048137.
What we collect
- What you type into the booking form: your name, phone number, email (if you give it), the area or postcode where the car will be, the car, the package and extras, and the day and time you'd like.
- Messages you send us by WhatsApp, phone, text or email.
- Basic technical information our hosting provider records when you visit, such as your IP address, kept briefly for security.
Why we use it
To reply to you, arrange and carry out the valet you asked for, and keep a simple record of the booking. The legal basis is taking steps at your request before a contract and carrying out that contract (UK GDPR Article 6(1)(b)), and our legitimate interest in running and protecting the website (Article 6(1)(f)).
Who else handles it
- Cloudflare, which hosts this website and processes the form.
- Resend, which delivers the booking form to our inbox by email.
- Afaceri Diaspora, the company that built and maintains this website, which keeps a copy of form messages so nothing is lost.
- WhatsApp (Meta), if you choose to message us there.
- Google Maps, only if you choose to load the map.
Some of these providers may process information outside the UK. Where they do, they use safeguards approved under UK data protection law.
How long we keep it
Booking messages are kept for up to 12 months, then deleted, unless we need them longer for accounts or a dispute.
Your rights
You can ask for a copy of your information, ask us to correct or delete it, object to how we use it or ask us to restrict it. Email mobilecarvaleting2@gmail.com. If you're unhappy with how we've handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
